PC Applications
Applications are out for JET Programme PCs (Programme Coordinators) for the 2013-2014 JET year.  PCs work at CLAIR (Council of Local Authorities for International Relations) in Tokyo and administer the JET Programme for the whole of Japan.  Applicants who qualify:
 
-have at least two years experience on JET
-will not be reappointed for the 2013-2014 JET year.  
-be a person of good character whose work performance is deemed excellent
-have particularly excellent Japanese skills (JLPT level 2 or higher)
-have excellent English ability (if the applicant is not from an English speaking country)
 
Application materials have been sent to all contracting organizations.  The information is also posted on the JET Programme home page.  Applications must be received by CLAIR by April 12.

DID YOU KNOW...Kumamon products generated about $300 million in revenue last year.  With only a little over half of all Kumamoto businesses responding to the survey, the actual number is probably much more.  Starting in March, you can also sing and dance along to the Kumamon Taiso (くまモン体操)when you go out for karaoke.  One of the largest karaoke companies, Daiichi Kosho, decided to include the song and dance at its karaoke boxes.  Here's the article in Japanese.

Also check out this guide to Kuma-ben in English.  The grammar is very similar to Kumamoto-ben.
