This was initially planned to be a short activity split over two lessons, but the students begged to keep playing the first lesson. Bring half sheets of paper to class. After explaining the grammar point, have students interview each other.
Then they should write three sentences about their interview partner in the form “He/She 動詞+s～.”. At the bottom of the paper, have the students write the interviewed person’s name. The papers are collected and students are randomly selected to draw a paper and read the sentences out loud. The other students guess who it is (written at the bottom). My students play for participation points, but this could easily be done as a team activity, too. This activity lets students speak, listen, read, and write English. There is little to do for prep work, but special attention should be given to ensure that all students complete the three sentences so that another student isn’t left hanging or can’t participate.
