Name of Teacher: Sean McKiernan
Class/Grade/Language Level: ES
Goal: Practice vocabulary and listening comprehension
This is a very low preparation activity that kids find enormously fun and can support a number of different activities. Students are divided into teams (depending on the number you are working with). You then give each member of the teams simple instructions of things to draw (depending on the material you have been teaching) on the board. For example kids work together to draw a face with their team. It works well with body parts, expressions, shapes, etc. It can also easily be adjusted to appeal to different age groups by having them draw their favorite characters (draw Doraemon for example) or even their teachers. This activity works well if you find yourself having run out of prepared material yet still have significant time left, as the only requirements are a blackboard and chalk.
