# English Numbers and Time

**Preparation:** Worksheet, blackboard, bonus points

**Class time:** 50 minutes

**Lesson Plan:**

*2 min Greeting*

Greet the class, ask questions to students

*2 min Numbers lesson*

Introduce number lesson to students. Write a very large number and ask how do you say it? Eg. 895, 452, 403, 126; keep it on the board to challenge them after.

*5 min*

Give worksheet to students, go through **1) basics** and have volunteers answer each one.

*4 min*

JTE explains how to use the diagram. Provide examples by writing the diagram on the board with numbers below them and have the class attempt to read the numbers.

*10 min Practice*

Students fill in the worksheet, then volunteers come to the board to write the answers.

*1 min*

Then, reuse the example provided in the introduction and have them answer.

*5 min Listening*

Students listen to the dialogue and circle the correct answer. Repeat twice and check answers

*10 min Time in English*

Go through the basics on the right side of the worksheet, students can try to volunteer to answer. Draw a clock diagram and list the hints while the students copy.

Students can practice numbers and time in class or as homework
