Class time: 50 minutes


Winter Vacation: ALT and JTE give out worksheets and explain that students need to answer questions about their winter holidays. ALT and JTE go through each question, put examples on the board and give the students time to answer.
Demonstration: ALT and JTE choose a few students to say what they wrote down.
Resolutions: ALT explains that in western countries people make resolutions in the beginning of the new year. JTE explains in Japanese if needed. ALT and JTE then explain the next activity (matching and then using the words to fill in the blanks. ALT and JTE go through the answers.
My Resolution: ALT and JTE then explain that students need to write their own resolution. ALT and JTE help students.
Demonstration: ALT and JTE choose a few students to say their resolutions.
Charades: JTE puts the students into groups of roughly 5 while the ALT gives out the next worksheet. ALT and JTE explain that the next game is charades and that students will need to use gestures. One student from each group must come up, the ALT/JTE will give them a resolution that they must then, only using gestures, get their team to guess first. Stamps or prizes given to the winning team.
