Otsukaresama to all our SDC attendees! Hopefully you had a good time, not just soaking in all the information, but also getting a chance to connect with other ALTs and JTEs. Before we get to all the photos, much love and thanks to everyone who helped out to make SDC a great success, our fantastic presenters, panelists, and behind the scenes staff. And before we forget, a special thank you to KumAJET for running the charity bake sale and providing drinks for all the attendees!

Following the successful ES version of the camp last month, Kumamoto Prefecture held the first annual Higoko Wakuwaku English Camp for Junior High School students at Grand Messe on December 12th. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students from every part of Kumamoto came to interact with ALTs from all over the world.
The high energy from all the students was a perfect match with the enthusiasm and hard work of all our ALT volunteers, which made for a great experience for everyone! Many students said they would love to come back next year if they have the chance.

On November 21 at Hotel Terrsa in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture held the first annual Higoko Wakuwaku English Camp for Elementary School students. 5th and 6th grade students from all over Kumamoto came to Terrsa eager to use English and learn about foreign countries from fantastic ALT volunteers.
This was the first time an event like this has been held in Kumamoto and with the support of everyone in addition to the great attitude of the kids in attendance, it turned out to be a big success!
