SDC6As all Kumamoto ALTs know, the 2016 Skill Development Conference (SDC) was held on December 1-2. For two days, ALTs, JTEs, and HRTs particpated in workshops focusing on teaching, English language, and culture. We hope the conference participants learned some new things, but we also hope that they were able to network and bond with teachers and other JETs.

This year’s SDC materials are available here.

Otsukaresama to all our SDC attendees! Hopefully you had a good time, not just soaking in all the information, but also getting a chance to connect with other ALTs and JTEs. Before we get to all the photos, much love and thanks to everyone who helped out to make SDC a great success, our fantastic presenters, panelists, and behind the scenes staff. And before we forget, a special thank you to KumAJET for running the charity bake sale and providing drinks for all the attendees!
